My theory is that becoming a “grown-up” doesn’t have to be a terrible slug. In fact, with the right tools and a little creativity, it can be a pretty delightful processs.
And I’m working on a book (and this very blog!) to help support my hypothesis.
Over the course of the past few years, I’ve researched what brings about happiness across cultures and workplaces. I’ve also spoken with people from wildly diverse career fields with the goal of providing you, me, and anyone who has ever found themselves in a proverbial career (and, by extension life) rut some insights into how to make the most out of 21st century adulthood.
Whether it’s through my interviews with people with fascinating careers or highlighting scientifically proven best work practices, I hope to help readers achieve the professional and personal peace and satisfaction we all ultimately desire.
With a team of talented graphic designers, I’ve begun compiling my research and these compelling interviews into a book where we’re using sophisticated design to help tell a collection of stories of on the job fulfillment. The book’s layout is fresh, quirky, and bold. If you’d like to see a sample chapter, or even just say hi, shoot me an email at susie (at) moderngrownup (dot) com. I’d love to hear from you.
Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it. Happy browsing!
